They look like standard C9 outdoor Christmas lights in the
picture.  C7's are the inside style bulbs (*not* the miniature
bulbs, but the kind that largely replaced the series-wired
indoor bulbs you speak of  after WWII).  I bought the last
string of series-wired bulbs at the local Kress variety store
when they were closing them out some time in the late 60s or
very early 70s. Still have them.  I also bought out their
supply of screw-in miniature bulbs, which fit a little
table-top Christmas tree my mother had in college.  Some day
those Christmas lights will pay for my retirement. :-)
