[Jukebox-list] rockola 1464

Hi,

The 1464 wall mount is a sort of inverted flat ŒT¹ with an angle along the
bottom with two locating pegs that the base of the jukebox sits on there
are two predrilled holes in the base for this, along with the three holes to
mount the floor stand. At the top of the bracket is a hinge with a peg that
drops through the big hole in the middle of the top and had a hole to fit a
padlock (I believe - someone has drilled my one out ! ). The whole thing has
about 8 substantial (8mm +) screw holes to enable fixing to the wall I
wouldn¹t advise screwing it to brick / block wall without bolting it to a
plate on the other side of the wall !
Oliver and Hildegard Stamann (in Germany) have a similar bracket in their
catalogue for a 1484, but that is a bit smaller, maybe it could be modified
if not I can send you some pictures and dimensions for you to make one or
have one made should be quite simple, and probably easier than modifying
the 1484 one. They also stock the plastic light shield, buttons, ³Select¹
glass and a few other useful bits not sure if they have a deal with
someone in the US to supply their bits locally....
The 1484 bracket is here.... and should make some of the above explanation a
little easier to visualise...

If you want any more detail about the bracket or anything else about the
1464 feel free to email me off list and I¹ll try to help. I think it¹s a
good machine, quite absurd in many ways, but aren¹t all the best jukeboxes
fairly absurd really !

Hi all,
does anyone know how this juke was wall mounted? was the cabinet directly
mounted to the wall or was there a bracket kit (like used on payphones) to
mount to the wall first, then the juke to that? I would guess the mech would
be removed to lighten the load and gain access to the mounting holes? thank
you, Rick.
