Are you ready??????  The selections buttons!!!  They smell terrible!  I am
pulling them all off today and soaking them in hot soapy water.  I had
cleaned them in A- water and they look great but I -think the plastic and
A-Water must have created some crazy smell?  Ever heard of this before?

If they were made out of Tennite (or maybe Tenite? not sure of the
spelling), that will be the culprit.  It was an early plastic (developed in
Germany, I believe) that is still used sometimes, you see it most often in
screwdriver handles and the like.  I am not aware of a way to "wash off" the
smell...
