[Jukebox-list] Rock-ola princess 1493 autospeed

According to my Always Jukin Jukebox Guide, the 1493 was 45 rpm only.
If the 33rpm record mounts and lays flat on the turntable(TT),(Doug, are you sure that the record is ALL the way down, touching the TT?) I would suspect that someone has changed it to the dual speed type, possibly by accident, without changing what's required under the TT. FYI "Autospeed" was a "Seeburg word" made up to describe an automatic electronic, motor speed control. On all other brand phono's that I know of, the motor speed does not change, as they use some type of mechanical TT speed control, rather than changing the motor speed. Ron Rich
