Hi Nigel/list,
1. I made some progress. Fixed the credit cancel...it was the bonus relay
(not present) sw was in the yes position instead of no. Now it works.
2. I have no idea what a comb connector is, but I reseated the molex
connectors. I did recheck the wipers, they were ok, but the pin pusher arm
was 180 degrees out, so now it selects the correct records, but the inside
row solenoid doesn't always work.
3.As for the pin hopping, I reseated the connectors and opened the relay
area (lower left side of frame) and noticed that when the unit won't stop,
the relay tries to pull in, but doesn't make it (especially while scanning).
It works better when mag magazine is at rest. I checked for detent linkage
binding, but it seems ok. I'll still have to check that sw and thw 2
stopping sws with a meter, but they are hard to get to without disassembly
(again, doh!). It looks as though the relay is either bad, or not enough
power going to it at times?
Any way, that's where I am with this. Thank you all for your help, Rick.
