Gary's right
Lexan or Plexiglass trademarks are good as both are UV stable. Over in the
UK we have a habit of refering to things under a generic name.
Hence a 'Hoover' is really a vacuum cleaner.
'Perspex' can be used for any clear plastic sheet, however we can get a
cheap plastic Acrylic sheet from hardware wharehouses that is not 'Perspex
TM' and soon turns yellow in the sun and is much less flexible than proper
perspex, lexan etc.

Hi Jackie, regarding your plexiglass, be careful it is
the right stuff. When work in on my 2204 wurlitzer
years ago, I remember using a sheet of plexiglass type
material sold from hardware stores. It lasted a short
while before I heard a strange cracking noise and the
whole thing shattered like a windscreen. I ended up
using a product called Lexan (not sure if it is
available in the US). This is a far superior product
and can withstand the strain put on the bend. I know
how you feel about getting the bend in place. I
struggled by myself for hours too. If I remember, some
strong clamps came in handy. Sorry cant be of any more
help. Good luck. If possible, can you get an original
glass?

Gary
