[Jukebox-list] 1650 Dome

For making right angles and such in plexiglass, you need a plex bending "tool". We bought ours at the local plastics and plex distrib. It is, basically, a piece of fiberboard that has had a channel formed along its lengthwise axis. Inside the channel is a low wattage heater strip. By placing the plex on the heater strip for about 5 minutes and using a metal straight-edge, you can bend the plex to a 90 degree or farther.

I have seen people use paint stripper heat guns and even the kitchen oven to heat plex up to help the bending process. I don't know what kind of shape your dome needs to be, but a little heat may be the ticket. BE CAREFUL! Too much heat will cause bubbling in the plexiglass.

Respectfully,
David Rebber

P.S. Soul payment not necessary...
