Hello Jackie,
just in case all attemps making a plastic replacement glass for the 1650 won't be satisfactory - the mould for these glasses is been made these days and we hope to get the first (real) glasses in a few weeks.
Though I understand that due to the weak US$ and high shipping costs it will cost a lot to send one of these glasses over.
Best regards - Oliver Stamann

Good Morning
thanks to all for the advice, it's just what I needed. I looked at the Lexan but it was very thick so I bought "crystalite" which fit in the front/back track perfectly but didn't have the bend I need. It never cracked while we were working with it but was difficult to work with.
I think today I will call the Glass Co. nearby, they have plastics and I will check to see if they have the Lexan in a thinner piece than the hardware store had. I also like the idea of the clamps, which would have come in handy on the very top of the bend. JC, I had thought of heating the stuff up in the oven but remembered the adventure when I was trying to save a 45 and stuck it in and forgot it until I smelled something hours later.......duh?
As far as selling my soul for a solution.........of course I was kidding!! LOL Jackie _______________________________________________
