Any standard text-based email client.  The less fancy the better.

If you use your regular "reply" function your reply will go to the list. 
  If you want to send a reply just to the individual poster, you can 
select "reply all" and edit the recipients to just that person.

Don't do that then.  :-)  There are a number of email clients out there. 
  Please turn off HTML, rich-text, etc.

See if there's an option for "signature" with that string of text in it. 
  If so either delete it or change to something more useful like your 
name, etc.
