Welcome!
On the Seeburg STD-2, You are correct--un plug the Tormat (RCA) plug from the DCC and let it scan twice. Then, prior to inserting that plug back in, clean the outside rim of the socket, and the inside rim of the plug. That problem is almost 100% a poor contact in that area. The other thing you should check is the TWO wires that are soldered to the outside of the plug. Be sure that they both (shield and a small "inner" wire) are there.
The lamps are # 2182, or # 2182D. As for availability, I have a few, but not many left-- but they should be available from anyone that sells mini. lamps Ron Rich
