Go Jackie. I only wish I could be there to hear it play.I don't know who's
worse you or me.
I just made a deal on another Wurlitzer.Hopefully the girl who wants my
Seeburg Sunstar will come over with cash so I can go finish paying for the
Wurlitzer...lol.
It's a real oldie.A Wurlitzer 24A.Can't wait to get her home.My used
Wurlitzer 1400 parts came and I am happy.I still need new titleglasses and 1 button.1
was broke on the replacement. The blue is beautiful on the other buttons. My
originals were all faded real bad.The chrome is beautiful and the speaker is
good ,cone,field coil and all.
There is a 1 and 1/2 inch scratch on the titleboard leading up to the broken
button and broken titleglass. It was like that when I bought it but I didn't
know the scratch was there.I wonder if some drunk got that mad at it because it
wouldn't play his selection? That's what it looks like. That somebody pounded
the crap out of it.The shaft for the button was bent over onto the titleboard
but I managed to straighten it wirthout it breaking off.The titleboard that
goes under that glass was in the botom of the juke. Another selection was marked
"Don't play". I'll live with the scratch. Gives it some patina and the
chrome is far too good to rechrome. No pits whatsoever.
Oh boy these jukes are gonna cost me some money. First pilasters for the
1400.Now the 24A is missing 2 plastics. and something will have to done about the
"record eater" original cartridge.Do I dare look in the Victory Glass
catalog?....lol.
Oh btw I have an AMI but it's a Rowe/AMI.
