I'm more familiar with the earlier machines. On the earlier machines, the
reverse relay must be pulled in for the gripper to return records back to
the magazine. I'm going to assume the clear button you are pressing is
energizing the reversing relay, which would eliminate that as the problem.
Is this so? Watch the relay as you press the button and see if it pulls in.
I would check microswitch #1 to make sure it is switching, as I believe that
switch is in series with the reversing relay. The service manual gives good
sequence diagrams which are much simpler to follow than trying to decipher
the complete wiring diagram. Look at the "music ends cycle" (usually the
next to last sequence diagram) and it will tell you where to look. Good
luck,
Jim

Subject: [Jukebox-list] Rock-ola Mystic 478 "Music cycle end problem"
Hi, I am new to this list and I am looking for some help on my Rock-ola
Mystic 478.
The problem is when the record is done playing it never goes and picks up
the record. It just thinks its still playing. I checked the tone arm switch
with a fluke meter and it seems to be working but I don,t know if it would
be the reverse relay or not. If you press the clear button on the logic brd.
it picks up the record and returns it like it should. I do have the service
manual and a parts manual. Any ideas. I would appreciate it. I bought the
juke a couple weeks ago. Its good and clean. Everything else seems to work.
