Steve,
This brings something to mind--I believe that "Atari" was involved with some type of law suit in the late '60's, early '70's, which they lost. They were forced to provide schematics for their games, if shipped across state lines. I don't know what happened to that ruling, nor do I have any more info on it. I believe that they were allowed to keep some parts secret--but they had to provide an "overall" view.
I try very hard to not support any company that will not provide schematics, and would like to find out if the above ruling is in effect, and to what extent. Ron Rich

Ron,
I keep forgetting that it was a different era. I can't imagine any
company today being that open with this sort of information with
people outside the company, except for government contracts, medical
devices, and maybe automobile manufacturers.
Also, I forget that these weren't "consumer" products, which might
make a difference, too. And heck, I remember radios and such came
with schematics into the 70's and 80's -- even my Amiga 2000 computer
had schematics in the manual. You don't see that today, at all.
Anyway, I take back what I said. I can now imagine them sending out
the info, even if it was just a cost reduction.
Thanks,
--> Steve

Fools ignore complexity. Pragmatists suffer it.
Some can avoid it. Geniuses remove it.
