Joey,
yes, this is off subject but I have to chime in! Having lots of experience
with young people, both with my own 7 kids and also teaching piano to kids
from 5-25, I think you have the right idea when it comes to Text Messaging
but I will also add, I noticed it when my kids were using the Instant
Messaging on the Computer 15 years ago.
I think, like you, their brains are working overtime and the fingers can't
catch up, therefore creating "slang" in our new, good/bad world of
technology. Lazy? I'm not sure that's necessarily the case. Most young
people I encounter are bright and energetic. I am excited to leave them in
charge of this world when I'm gone, maybe they can save the planet that we
continue to trash for them.
