[Jukebox-list] Animation Units

I understand you asking the question Ron. 

I have a 1015, and a 500, both with animation (what a show!). To me, the R just seems so plain without animation (I've added colour sheets to enhance the grille, but there's movement) Yes, I know it didn't originally have animation, but I thought it would be neat to enhance the original design (while not butchering the cabinet, as in the Wico Seeburg C that was recently discussed in this forum). 
I also have a DS160 that I'd eventually like to animate. 

Coincidentally, Ward Kremer's first animation project was for the R. It's just too bad he seems to have gone out of business.

On the net I did come across a jukebox restorer who is including animation in his R's, so I guess there's a few who don't feel that it ruins the original concept. Beauty in the eye of the beholder I guess!

Mike,
  I have never seen one on a "R".  Seeing as there is room for just one lamp on that model, what do you want to "annimate"? The mech compartment, and  the grill area, would almost be impossible to seperate ( and in my opinion, annimation would ruin the concept of the design).  Ron Rich

This is a mailing list which goes out to many jukebox fans, not a specific person.
There are animation units out there for several models of jukeboxes.
