They're rare enough that all I need to look at is the price
and I just walk away.  I'd love to have a 50s Seeburg, but
other expenses, like the mortgage, always get in the way.
I'm sure there are some unrestored ones left, but I've
never seen one.

Your machine is your machine.  You can do with it as you
wish.  I'm a preservationist by nature, so I always try
to make a strong case for originality. But I'd never
advocate the Jukebox Police busting down the door of
someone with a modified machine.
