G'day Jackie,
The correct cartridge is the Red Head and has light blue needles.    He may 
want to purchases one of Vern Tisdale new replacement cartridges it will 
improve the sound and also help out Vern.

Hi,
I just got another call from my friend in Florida, he was asking about the 
needle on the R.  He says his cartridge is yellow and the needles are 
yellow.  His question was, "are the needles supposed to be blunt?"  His 
sound quality is bad and the amp was rebuilt before they delivered it to 
him.  He said they do not have a shart tip at all.  Any comments?\
