Hi Joey,
A 222 should have a TSU-1 (Tormat Selection Unit) equipped with either a TJU-2 (Tormat Junction Unit) (cover plate), or an RCSU-2 ("stepper"). However, any TSU should work. The RCSU-2 was available either "factory installed", in which case the I.D. plate, on the rear of the cabinet, would have been stamped with a "R" (for "Remote operation possible"). It was also available as a "kit", either Distrib. installed, or operator installed.
As for the amp---They are somewhat difficult to re-cap, due to the fact that they are almost two seperate single amps "crammed" into one chassis. I have never seen any "transistor replacement amps" used in a 222. What I have seen is the later amps (SHFA-4 and 5) used as replacements, as Seeburg "simplifed" the later models, using fewer components. Sound wise, I could never tell the difference, if the amp was "good". Ron Rich
