[Jukebox-list] Wurlitzer 750 E Motor

I had problems with the motor in my W500. It worked but was wobbling and
vibrating a lot, as the bushings were worn. This created a noticeable
hum in the box, and the motor coupling was shaking like crazy.  I took
it to a local electric motor shop, and they made it like new: replaced
the bearings, and did a general clean up inside. They told me that they
are able to rewind them if necessary. I think the cost was something
like $75, and the motor now works great. This was about 5 years ago, and
it is still fine. I suggest you try this route. 

Remember that if you buy a used motor, there is no guarantee that it
will also not need rebuilding. You're probably better off fixing the one
you've got.

I am in need of a motor for a Wurlitzer 750 E. The info on the motor is
The Emerson Electric Mfg. Company. Frame: S44LW, 1/30th HP, 60 Cycles,
Style 786-12617. 1140 RPM, 115 Volts, 1 Amp. Also, can these motors be
re-wound or repaired - maybe that is another option. Any info would be
helpful.
