[Jukebox-list] Wurlitzer 2504 sound blasts at start of record

I had a similar but not the same with an AMI Continental 2.    When the 
power was switched on at the wall outlet there was loud hissing noise from 
speakers for 10 to 20 seconds then fading and stopping.    When the power 
was turned of at the wall, the noise would start immediately after power was 
turned off and last for several seconds.     I fixed it by turning over the 
110 volt plug to the amp.    I have 240 volt power and use a step down 
transformer.    I do not know why this has fixed the problem.     Any one 
know why??
