I have a model 306-06322 ??? (numbers are very hard to read) remote volume
control. It says it is for model R-3801A, 602-04359 Stereo amplifiers. Can
anybody tell me what models this might work with. I think the R-3801A
amplifier was used around the TI-1 series but am not sure. The wire
currently connected to the volume control consists of a red and blue
shielded pair, a yellow and green shielded pair, and an orange unshielded
single wire. Based on the schematic on the back of the control I do not
think this is correct. I also have some wire I got from the operator
consisting of the following: blue and white unshielded, yellow, black, red,
and green wrapped in a very thin metal shield film, and a bare stranded wire
in contact with the metal shield film. Based on the schematic, I think this
may be the correct wire. Finally, from the same operator, I have some seven
strand wire with the following colors: white, green, blue, black, red,
orange, and brown. None are shielded. I don’t think this is for the volume
control but would it have possibly have been used for a wallbox application?
Any information appreciated.
