[Jukebox-list] Alnico speakers a must?

Hello,
I have a bad speaker, possibly two, I feel rubbing and hear noise when I
push the cone into the voice coil. Have a bass deficet too when the box is
playing. The speakers are installed in a 57 Seeburg using the original tube
amp and they are 12 inch 8 ohm with alnico magnet. I know these can be
reconed but is there an alternative? Is a suitable replacement available
near the 110.00 cost (including shipping) of the reconing job? Is there a
benefit to installing a coaxial with the alnico magnet build as an
improvement to the high end response?
