[Jukebox-list] Alnico speakers a must?

There is a trick where you can recenter a speaker cone by applying a 
strip of nail polish on the side opposite where teh cone rubs. This 
shrinks the cone material a bit and pulls it back towards the middle. If 
there is a 'spider' (ribbed centering flexible support) holding the 
bottom of the cone in place then you might want to consider replacing 
the cone.

As for the type of speaker, these are often 16 ohm voice coils and so as 
long as you match that , plus get a cone that is similar in structure 
(you want a fairly stiff support as these speakers are not in sealed 
boxes) to the ones in your machine. Check with folks that do car, 
musical, and/or home speaker repairs...
