At first I thought you were talking about 45s! Yes, rock
78s are a little spendy, but the good thing about a juke
box is that E- or even V+ condition records sound almost
like new because of the steep rolloff of the higher
frequencies where only noise resides on these records.
Most postwar machines have light enough pickups that they
can play these records without damaging them.
