Jeremy,
Actually it is not a board but a small rectangular box containing three
relays and a resistor. Two of these relays are interconnected and one of
these two releases the other when it is energized. I can send a photo if it
will be of help. The part number of the assembly is 40697-4a. If I can even
get one in a year close to 1978 it will likely have useable relays in it.
The relay that I need is energized the whole time the record is in play
position and that is probably why it has gone open. Currently the breaker
trips as soon as the record goes into play since the gripper motor never
shuts off and goes into overload.
