I might have the replacement part for the Computer CPU for this machine. 
However I'm at home ad my files are at work. It does sound like the same 
board.

If you MPU has a battery I would start by taking it out and try again, 
also the 40 pin IC socket should be replaced as they are often in poor 
condition - they were not a good quality to start with...
