So, here's the word I got from Graham Newton, a friend
who used to master records for RCA Victor (he's forgotten
more about record lathes than I'll ever know) and now
restores audio recordings professionally. I assume he
means the Windex widely available today.

Another friend, also a record restorer, told me that
any blue amonia-based window cleaner will work, but
"avoid other colors." :-)
