When the amp is first turned on, 10 volts are applied to the filaments to
heat the tubes quickly. After a few seconds, a relay inside the amp pulls in
and the contacts switch to put 6.3 volts on the filaments. I'm guessing you
have dirty contacts on this relay or one or both 6L6 tubes is bad. Good
