[Jukebox-list] HELP needed with Rock-Ola 1428

It sounds like it has the old fast start/warm up  system, I was never really 
fond of that high voltage on cold tubes, but I guess when they tested new 
tubes pulled off the line when they were in a production run, , they would 
hit them with almost double rated voltages to "stress test " them.

You probably do have some pitted/ dirty contacts on the relay. I wouoldnt 
file the contacts to clean them, as this would shorten the life of the 
contacts, expecially if they are plated contacts.

I use regular card stock paper to clean them up, or a new dollar bill works 
too. A 60 year  juke veteran  told me about this,and it  has worked for me 
many times !
