[Jukebox-list] Jens Hultgren?

Well unfortunately it is true,

which is the reason I've been a little quiet as of late. I don't need no
consolation.
Please don't mail me regarding the fire since I have been drowning in mail
since february
and have no time to reply. I am replying here. :o)

I was in Mali, Africa when it happened but could see pictures of the fire on
the web.
 You can see it here:
http://www.ekuriren.se/ekuriren/senaste_nytt.php?id=623778&avdelning_1=102&avdelning_2=101&t=1123631404
all in Swedish.
Realizing there would only be dust and vapour left of what was remarkable
collection of coin-op.
Perhaps 60% of what I had was in the building, so I still have a lot of good
stuff left though.
But it is less than half a collection, and it took 25 years to get to
where I was. And all that work....well, you can imagine.
Insurance will only cover a fraction of the real value.

I will have a lot of parts and auxiliary equipment for sale that I can no
longer use.
The aspiration was to have a collection that was 'complete' and could serve
as a reference when it comes to originality so unrestored original pieces in
mint condition or near was preferred. I would keep the best Wurlitzer 2100 I
had until I found a better one.
For instance - two 1700s. One was a regular model with walnut sides and
plastic pilasters.
The other a Hi-fi model with blonde sides and glass pilasters and the rare
purple/yellow colour scheme. Apply that to a complete collection of
Wurlitzer 1932-1960 and you can see the scope of what I was trying to
achieve, Also most of the AMI-Rockola-Seeburg stuff of the time, and many of
the smaller makes. For instance, Mills Empresses + Thrones (all
variations). Filben green + red + mirrocle + the phone thing.....
A silly dream, wasn't it? :'o)
Also other coin-op such as mannikin bowler and other arcade, lots of nice
pinballs from a truly mint Humpty Dumpty that was never on location, a
Knockout and other woodrails up to the Indy Jones prototype. About
a dozen movie jukeboxes. The list goes on and on...

I am actually glad noone was hurt. I wouldn't want a fire in my home.
And I am still standing. In Houston, today, still trying to figure out to do
when I grow up.... ;o)

Take care kids, and think about your insurance coverage.
            Jens
