Finding the plastics will be tough. I don't think they were reproduced. I
believe the 600 plastics are much thicker, but you could probably still make
them fit.
I have re-flocked many turntables without a gun. I use semi-gloss black
spray paint instead of glue - it blends with the flocking material. After
painting, immediately apply the flocking using a flour sifter (a cheap
plastic one with a squeeze handle - this way you can do it with one hand
while holding the turntable in the other) The sifter gives you a thin, even
application. You will have to do this at least twice - three times is
better. Cover it real good and save the flocking that doesn't stick for the
next application.
If you install the Astatic 51, you will have to modify the trip wire
anyway - the original is angled up too steeply. It's hardened and will break
if you try to bend it without using a torch first. You can use a coat hanger
wire instead. It has an "S" shape (in the horizontal position) with one end
angled upwards. It curves to the front of the machine to miss the back
casting. It will take some trial and error to get it to trip just right -
it's easier to bend the coat hanger wire than the original. Good luck,
Jim
