Hello,
I have recently picked up a Wurlitzer 2000 and it always plays the opposite selection that was made. In other words, the opposite lift arm comes up and plays the record directly opposite the record carousel. I have adjusted the back stop pawls, per the manual to no avail. This mechanism is the cleanest I have ever seen and has been steam cleaned or disassembled at one time because it looks factory new and has new lubrication, etc. Just wondering if it could be an alignment problem somewhere???
I've reset these stop pawls at least a half dozen times and still the opposite lift arm comes up, not sure what gives? I know when the selector crank reaches the selected pin, the reversing motor kicks in and it seems the carousel moves back just a fraction before the stop pawl comes in contact with the tooth of the carousel. When the correct lift arm should come up, it can't because the record separator is positioned squarely in the middle of the duckbill, so the opposite side comes up instead.
Any thoughts or other places I should look?
Thank you,
Berry
