[Jukebox-list] Seeburg Q... where's the service/scan switch???

You know... the cord is still there and intact, with the exception of the missing plug. Couldn't I just get a new plug and attach it to the existing wires?

Hi John,
There ain't no "DUH" questions !
I would suggest that you buy a two wire cord. That machine was not designed with
a ground circuit, and in my opinion, is safer without one. It is nearly
impossible to add the TOTAL wiring needed to "ground" a machine that was not
designed as such. I suggest that a GFI circuit be used instead. BTW, If the
original "wall plug" is in that cabinet, the white wire goes to the silver
screw, and the black wire to the "gold" screw.
As for the cord exit--I really don't recall that model. It seems to me that it
has a round hole in the rear of the cabinet, and it used a "rubber grommet"
attached to the cord, to "mouse proof" the hole. I know the later "Y" models
did.
