from what I could find out the 257 was used on all 104 selection jukeboxes from 1800 to 2504:

According to Dr. Know-it-all's Wurlitzer Vol.2 reference book it would be for ,

1800  listed 257    104 select
1900  not listed     104 select
2000 built in
2100 built in
2104 listed 257     104 select
2150 listed 258
2200 built in
2204 listed 257      104 select
not sure about the not listed model. Could it be the last model "until" the next model?
