[Jukebox-list] Another Jukebox Followed Me Home :-)

Well today I dug into the 3600 a little, I found a few problems I did not
expect. First off I thought the amp had a dead channel, but I found that
someone had disconnected the "A" channel speaker wires on the teremanal
board in the back of the juke, and had connected them to the "B" channel. I
re connected them to there proper connectors, and now have sound on both
channels. But the sound is bad, bad. Kind of garbled at low volume levels.
Also it has a steady hum from the speakers.

I checked the main caps, and found a lot of ripple on the B- power supply
cap. So that could be some of my sound issues I guess. The other problem
that I see is that the pre-amp board has a crack across the upper portian of
the board. It has been repaired with jumper wires and solder bridges on the
circuits. I dont thhink I like this.

Sooo, my next question is, where is a good place to find replacment cap cans
if there still available, and would someone here on the list have a spare
pre amp board they would be willing to sell ?

The amp is a 553.

The caps I need are :
(2) 3000mfd @ 55 v , and (1) 2000 MFD @ 50V twist lock cans. I know I
could probably re-stuff the caps, but I will save that as a last resort.

Also thanks to Di Di Mao for sending me the copy of the schematic :-)

Thanks-Dennis (Jukeboxdenny)
