As for the coin-op industry, they are already manufacturing LED lamps in the miniature bayonet base to replace 44's, etc.  and some of the more common wedge base lamps.  On a professional level, I welcome them as I do not have to replace lamps as often.  However, for the purist of antiques and classics, they will probably be an "eye-sore".

As cheap as the incandescents are, a man might ought to stock up.  Especially if he falls into the purist category.
