[Jukebox-list] More on Mills - a question

I hope someone saves it too. This isn't the right time for me to be
restoring a jukebox but I'd love to rescue this one. Whoever posted the
original message sent me off first to eBay then to Google and You Tube.
It's been an education. For someone who likes the mechanisms as much as the
music this was a revelation. I've never paid any attention to the 'insides'
of Mills and I only really knew the Empress-era ones by sight. That
mechanism is wonderful. Can anyone point me to good information about the
amp and those amazing flashing tubes?

I hope somebody saves it. I have my Mills Zephyr all fixed up now and it's
really fun. I had to replace the top and front door veneer (my first time
doing that) and it looks really great now. The mechanism is really fun and
once you get it all adjusted etc. it's not too hard on the records. They
sure sound great but you are right that 12 selections is kind of limited.
Great fun bringing a 1938 machine back to life though.

I'll have to pass on that one...lol. Somebody will save it. I've already got
a Mills.A Do Re Me. With the way the mech is designed I don't know if the
tracking can be lightened like a Wurlitzer and you only get 12
selections.Mine's not even in the house. It's in the shed. At least no one
has done that to it.The veneer is pretty decent on mine.
I don't think Jackie would ever do that to a juke.
J.C.
p.s. for Jackie. Take a look at that mech. That's the same mech as my Mills
has.Isn't that mech just wild with 12 separate turntables on a ferris wheel?
p.p.s. Now I've probably done it.Tempted Jackie to save that Mills...lol.
